Radnor Township, PA, is celebrating a significant financial boost following its recent upgrade of 1,320 streetlights to energy-efficient LED models, completed last summer as part of its Renewable Energy & Conservation Plan. Through the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission’s Regional streetlight Procurement Program, the township expected a rebate of $87,253 from PECO but was pleasantly surprised to receive $111,215.96 instead. Township Manager William M. White commended the Board of Commissioners for their leadership in sustainability, highlighting the project as a means to reduce energy consumption and enhance public safety. The procurement program, active from 2015 to 2025, provided municipalities with the resources and support necessary to successfully transition to LED lighting while benefiting from reduced costs and streamlined project management.
