Renovation Project Worth $10M Planned for Tilden Rodgers Park in West Memphis

West Memphis, Arkansas, is set to revitalize the Tilden Rodgers Park and sports Complex with a significant $10 million upgrade, as announced by city leaders on Thursday. Construction will commence in two weeks and will introduce a host of new amenities, including seven artificial turf baseball/softball fields, four tennis courts, sand volleyball and basketball courts, soccer and kickball fields, splash pads, and improved playgrounds. The project, which also includes enhanced community spaces, upgraded facilities like concessions and restrooms, and additional parking, aims to create a vibrant, family-friendly environment that promotes athletic participation and enhances residents’ quality of life. Mayor Marco McClendon expressed gratitude for the community’s patience throughout the planning process.
