Round Rock ISD to Evaluate LED Lighting Upgrades at Stadiums and Competition Venues

Round Rock ISD officials are set to review contracts for replacing stadium lighting with LED systems at upcoming meetings, utilizing funds from the 2018 and 2024 bond measures. The proposed changes aim to lower energy consumption, reduce maintenance needs, and enhance visibility for both spectators and athletes. Specifically, $519,960 will be allocated from the 2018 bond to upgrade lighting at the Kelly Reeves Athletics Complex and Dragon Stadium, while $811,020 from the 2024 bond will target upgrades at Cedar Ridge, McNeil, Stony Point, and Westwood high schools. The board is scheduled to consider these contracts as part of its consent agenda on October 9.
