Sistersville Summer Basketball League Makes a Comeback at the Park

The Sistersville Summer basketball League is set to make a long-awaited return to Sistersville Park, kicking off on Thursday, June 12, at 6:30 p.m. This year, the league will feature expanded game times—6:30, 7:30, and 8:30 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays—thanks to newly installed LED lighting. With 85 registered players and a waiting list, the league is expected to attract participants from various towns including Ripley, Parkersburg, and St. Marys, all eager to engage in local competition at no cost. League organizer Kevin Yoho expressed excitement about revitalizing the community’s basketball scene, stating, “We’re proud to be a part of its return.” The season will run through mid-August, culminating in playoffs at the end of July. Spectators are encouraged to join, with plans for food options available, making it a family-friendly event.
