Spectacular Light Show in Florida as SpaceX Starship Debris Incinerates During Recent Test Flight

In West Palm Beach, Florida, residents were left wondering about a bright light in the sky, which was later identified as debris from SpaceX’s Starship during its eighth test flight launched from South Texas. The rocket, carrying a Starlink satellite, experienced a breakup shortly after launch, resulting in what appeared to be falling meteors over the region. Although SpaceX reported a successful recovery of the Super Heavy booster, contact with the spacecraft was lost just minutes into the flight. The launch aimed to reignite a Starship engine in space and deploy mock satellites, following a previous test run in January that ended in an explosion over the Caribbean. While operations have resumed at several Florida airports, Miami International Airport continues to face delays due to the debris from the launch.
