Stadium Field at Quinn’s Junction Sports Complex to Get Enhanced Lighting

On June 26, the Park City Council is expected to approve a nearly $350,000 contract for the installation of LED lights at the Park City sports Complex stadium Field, enhancing its use for soccer and lacrosse games. Recreation Director Ken Fisher emphasized that the lights will adhere to the International Dark Skies Association’s specifications, minimizing light spill while allowing play to extend until 10 p.m. Similar lights have already been installed at City Park and the multipurpose fields at Quinn’s Junction. Initial electrical conduits, laid during the field’s construction in 2006, will facilitate this upgrade, with completion anticipated in September over a three-week period.
