Thrissur city is set to enhance its infrastructure with the ‘Light for Night Life’ project, which aims to replace outdated street lights with 50,000 energy-efficient LED lights within six months. Inaugurated by Revenue Minister K. Rajan, the initiative is part of Thrissur’s broader efforts to modernize into a metropolitan city, building on recent advancements in sanitation and public safety. The project will involve a digital survey to determine specific lighting needs across all 55 divisions of the city, along with the installation of high-mast and mini-mast lights. Mayor M.K. Varghese also attended the inauguration ceremony.
