The incident, which occurred shortly before 8 am, left the house obstructing two southbound lanes for several hours until it was removed in the afternoon. Social media erupted with reactions ranging from humor to criticism of the transport company involved, DBI Transport. The company later explained that the mishap was triggered by a road rage incident involving a one-ton flatbed truck and another vehicle, which led their driver to perform an emergency brake maneuver. This caused structural failure of the trailer, resulting in the house falling onto the highway. DBI Transport is seeking information on the vehicles involved and has apologized for the disruption caused.
