Unified Patent Court Directs Recall of Products Violating Essential Micro LED Patents

Seoul Semiconductor Co., Ltd., a leader in LED technology, recently secured a significant legal victory as the Local Division Paris of the Unified Patent Court ruled that Laser Components SAS infringed on its core optical semiconductor patent. The court ordered an immediate ban on sales and the destruction of the infringing products. This is Seoul’s second win at the UPC, building on a prior ruling that prohibited sales across eight countries. The infringement involved Laser Components’ products that utilized Seoul’s WICOP technology, a groundbreaking “No-wire” LED innovation that enhances efficiency and durability for Micro LED applications.
