Union Minister Explores Bridge Technologies in South Korea

A Myanmar delegation, led by Union Minister for Construction U Myo Thant, visited the Republic of Korea from August 25 to 30 to explore advanced construction and maintenance technologies relevant to the Dala Bridge project. During their stay, they met with companies involved in the bridge’s construction and consultancy, discussing ongoing project challenges and strategies for long-term durability. The delegation also visited the Korea Authority of Land and Infrastructure Safety to learn about bridge classification and inspection systems, and observed various construction sites. In Anyang, they engaged with the Smart City Integration Centre, examining AI-driven urban management developments. The trip concluded with discussions aimed at fostering cooperation between Korean firms and Myanmar’s infrastructure sector, focusing on technology and investment for future projects.
