Unspoken Truth Hosts Second Annual Lantern Lighting Event

Last weekend, Unspoken Truth, a mental health nonprofit based in Worthington, hosted its second annual lantern lighting at Slater Park, attracting over 100 attendees. Co-founder Mark Stewart emphasized the importance of community involvement, noting the presence of various recovery resources, including drug court representatives. Attendees honored lost loved ones through shared stories, an open mic, and a drum circle. Stewart expressed optimism for future events, sharing plans for a larger lantern lighting in 2026 that may adopt a festival format. The event aimed to foster connections among those experiencing similar challenges, promoting healing and resilience in the community.
