In a decisive move to enhance public safety, the City of Chino Hills has declared all fireworks illegal, including safe and sane varieties, effective immediately. The Chino Valley Fire District and local law enforcement will actively patrol the area to enforce the ban and issue citations to violators. In other local news, the city is also embarking on various community projects, including a sports lighting retrofit at Grand Avenue Park and a series of summer events like the Independence Day celebration on July 2 and the return of the Concerts in the Park series starting June 11. Residents are reminded that the online recreation registration system will be offline for maintenance from June 23 to 30, and registration for activities during this period will not be accepted.
