Montevideo has unveiled a cutting-edge LED lighting system for the Legislative Palace to commemorate its centenary. The new setup includes over 250 energy-efficient lights, which are permanent, programmable, and capable of adapting to various local and international events. Vice President Carolina Cosse hailed the initiative as a symbol of democracy and a beacon for the nation, aimed at enhancing the Palace’s status as a tourist attraction. The project also seeks to revitalize the surrounding neighborhood by creating public space. While some engineering refinements may be necessary, Cosse emphasized that this development marks a historic milestone for Uruguay.
