Wirral's Ashville FC Receives Donation to Install LED Floodlights

Ashville FC in Wallasey has received a £300 donation from Bellway, a local housebuilder, to facilitate the installation of new LED floodlights at the club’s ground. This contribution is part of a broader initiative to replace outdated floodlighting with energy-efficient systems, enhancing lighting quality while reducing environmental impact and operational costs. Jenny Bell, sales director at Bellway, emphasized the importance of the club to the local community and expressed pride in supporting the upgrade. Club chairman Phil Simmons expressed gratitude for the donation and the positive impact the new lights will have for players and training. The project was celebrated by the club committee, who gathered in front of a mural honoring club founder John Dennett, a World War II veteran.
