The Hengqing district in Zhuhai City is emerging as a prime real estate location, yet properties are being sold at base prices due to stringent auction requirements, including the necessity for bidders to be parent companies of enterprises. Notably, Great Aim Group plans to invest RMB 2 billion (approximately US $330 million) to develop a facility focusing on LED visual light communication (VLC) technology, which positions the area as a hub for high-tech industries. Led by Professor Zhang Guoqi and aided by a team of 500 international professionals, the VLC Research Center aims to enhance product development in this competitive market. The local government emphasizes the importance of patents, research contributions, and tax revenues in the bidding process to optimize the industry structure in the district.
