Frankston Council Embraces State Infrastructure Funding

The Frankston City Council has expressed appreciation for the Victoria Government’s 2025–26 State Budget, which allocates essential funds for local community infrastructure projects. Mayor Kris Bolam heralded the funding as a victory for the community, highlighting the fruitful collaboration between multiple government entities. The budget includes $240,000 for upgrading the play space at Heritage Reserve in Skye, $226,000 for enhancing sports lighting at Peninsula Reserve, and $250,000 for renovations to the Frankston Park changerooms. Each project aims to improve facilities for residents, increase safety, and promote inclusivity, particularly for female athletes.
