Jackson Hole has received two groundbreaking certifications from DarkSky International, making it a prime destination for summer stargazers. Teton County is now recognized as the first International Dark Sky Community, while Jackson Hole Airport has become the world’s first commercial airport designated as an Urban Night Sky Place. The area’s low light pollution, high elevation, and dry atmosphere enhance stargazing experiences, with efforts underway to further reduce artificial light.
